In this image the figures take on the qualities of a flowing landscape. One figure flows into the next, the folds of skin and muscle mimic rolling hills. These elements, in conjunction with the poses that seem to communicate an ability for the figures to move at any moment, relate back to childlike ideas of hills that seem to be alive with the sway of trees and tall grasses.
