About The Image

In this image the viewer is approached by figures not only abstracted by the distortion of the lens but also by full silhouette and cropping. The female figures are in poses that remove their individual identity while exaggerating stereotypical features. The male presence in the image is reaching forward, trying to grasp at the female form, in a gesture seeming to communicate yearning. ML
